KILLER GOD book answers charges that God is a monster

The release of “Killer God: Is God a genocidal mass murderer?”  has been announced by Abundance Books publisher Teresa Janzen.

Author Kerby Rials says the book meets a need: “Top skeptics like Richard Dawkins have repeatedly criticized Bible verses ordering the deaths of thousands.  Some Christians can’t get past these difficult passages, and have deconstructed their faith. Killer God was written to answer these criticisms. It provides archaeological, historical and biblical evidences that God is good and the Bible is true.”

Dr. Lori O’Dea, professor of theology at Northpoint Bible College in Grand Rapids, agreed:

“Killer God offers a compilation of biblical explanations to believers answering those who dismiss God based on select Old Testament narratives. The brief chapters enable understanding of the topic in simple, bite-sized pieces perfect for teaching and sharing with others.”

Dr. Lori O’Dea

Glenn Branham, pastor of Nashville Assembly of God, Nashville, MI, said the book helps “this generation understand some biblical passages which have been used by atheists and skeptics to criticize both Scriptures and God as being genocidal and despotic. Thoughtful, helpful, insightful, practical.”

Rials served 25 years in Russia, Belgium and Switzerland as a missionary, and has pastored two churches in the United States. He is the author of three theological books, and has taught at Bible schools in Russia, Ukraine and the nation of Georgia.  He is a magna cum laude graduate of Michigan State University and Mount Hope Bible Training Institute, studied at Continental Theological Seminary (Belgium) and is ordained with the Assemblies of God.

Killer God is available to order from Amazon, or from Abundance Books (abundance-books.com). It is also available in select bookstores in the US and Canada. An e-book version will be available in September.
