Who can participate? Military personnel and their families (active, reserves, veterans) may participate in this devotional collaboration.
This devotional project supports veterans by raising funds and awareness for ministries serving vets and their families. It is inspired by the work of Freedom Centre, a transitional crisis intervention home for veterans in the Cambridge/Waterloo region of Ontario, Canada. A portion of the proceeds is donated to ministries serving veterans and their families. To register a charity for consideration, please email books@abundance-books.com
Authors may submit up to five manuscripts—each should be submitted separately.
We encourage submissions from unpublished authors.
Devotional Format:
- Title of devotion, centered
- Byline (by Your Name), centered
- Military branch (including country) and service status.
- Bible verse centered, in italics
- Bible verse reference not italicized on a separate line, centered, with Bible version abbreviated, in parenthesis and small caps
- A line of space
- Body of devotion. Do not indent first paragraph. Indent all other paragraphs.

- Reflection Question
- A line of space
- Prayer, in italics, centered
- A line of space
- Bio
Word Counts:
- Title: up to 35 characters counting spaces
- Body of devotion: 500-700 words (Not counting verse, reflection questions, or bio)
- One Reflection Question: 15 – 35 words
- Prayer: 50-75 words
- Bio: 50-75 word bio in third person.
