Faith & Football Wins Two Second-Place BookFest Awards
Michelle Medlock Adams’s devotional recognized in both Sports and Christianity categories
Abundance Books congratulates Michelle Medlock Adams, whose book Faith & Football: 30 Inspirations from IU’s Storybook Season earned Second Place in two categories at The BookFest Awards: Nonfiction – Sports and Nonfiction – Religion – Christianity.
Recognition in the general Nonfiction – Sports category gives this achievement significance beyond the Christian book category. Together, the awards reflect the book’s combination of sports storytelling and devotional reflection.
In Faith & Football, Adams draws on Indiana University’s 2025 football season to explore lessons about preparation, perseverance, teamwork, and faith. Each of the book’s thirty devotions begins with a story from the Hoosiers’ championship journey and connects it to Scripture and everyday life.
An Indiana University journalism graduate, Adams brings both a fan’s enthusiasm and a journalist’s attention to the story. The collection also includes a “Favorite Fan Moments” section featuring stories and photographs celebrating the season.
We’re pleased to celebrate this recognition with Michelle and the readers who have connected with Faith & Football.
