Abundance Books Acquires Sharon Norris Elliott’s I Really Need to Know Series for Children

We are excited to announce that Abundance Books has acquired Sharon Norris Elliott’s I Really Need to Know, a series of seven children’s picture books designed to teach important Christian principles to young readers. This engaging series is set to reintroduce the first two books, Why I Get Into Trouble and Mommy Cried This Morning, on November 1, 2024, with the third book, Special Church Snack, launching on March 4, 2025.

Previously published by Elk Lake Publishing, the first two books have touched the hearts of families, and Abundance Books is thrilled to offer them under our banner. “We are honored to continue the legacy of these cherished stories,” says Teresa Janzen, Managing Editor at Abundance Books. “Sharon Norris Elliott’s ability to convey deep spiritual truths in a way children can understand is a gift, and we are excited to help share her work with even more families.”

The series starts with Why I Get Into Trouble, which explores Genesis and the concept of sin, followed by Mommy Cried This Morning, a compassionate look at death and grief. The forthcoming Special Church Snack will teach children about communion, a perfect theme for its Easter release.
